MEET OUR TEAM
The designers who bring each arrangement to life
Verde Floral Designs is built on creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to exceptional floral design. Led by owner and lead designer Hira Rafiq, our team blends artistic perspective with hands-on expertise to create arrangements that feel thoughtful, refined, and personal.
Whether in the studio or on-site for events, we work closely together to ensure every detail is considered—bringing a calm, solutions-focused approach and a genuine passion for what we do.

HIRA RAFIQ
Owner & Lead Designer
The daughter of Pakistani-American immigrants, Hira Rafiq is well aware of the dedication and sacrifice it takes to establish roots in unfamiliar soil. So there is no question how, after stopping by the shop just a few weeks ago to offer help for Mother’s Day, she quickly became part of the Verde family and helped the small business grow and flourish. Hira, who holds an MBA from Simmons University, learned everything she knows about floral design while managing the shop for previous owner Jeff Sawyer.
It’s no secret that flowers don’t last forever. But in her work at Verde, Hira knows that personal service and beautiful arrangements can leave a lasting impression. It is these moments of joy experienced by clients, and the memories they share of bouquets from years past, that drive her dedication to high-quality design and attention to detail for each client that walks through the door.
Beyond Verde’s clients, there is another group of people that inspire Hira’s work: her nieces. As the only woman in her family to own a business, she has an important example to set. And there is no better motivation to continue the work she loves, leading the business with integrity and forging a path for others to follow.

Amana Rafiq
Manager
Amana Rafiq is a Cape Cod native, where she lives with her two young daughters and brings both creativity and heart to her role as Lead Studio Designer. She was first introduced to floral design when her sister, Hira, took ownership of the business—and quickly discovered a genuine passion for the craft.
Known for her calm, solutions-focused approach, Amana has a natural ability to problem-solve and adapt, especially when navigating the unique challenges that come with event work. Whether behind the design bench or on-site, she plays a key role in ensuring every detail comes together seamlessly.
Outside the studio, she is a devoted and active mom, always present for her daughters’ many activities. Her favorite flower is the peony, and her consistently positive presence—marked by a warm smile and steady energy—brings a sense of ease to both the team and clients alike.

Haley Morrison
Lead Studio & Event Designer
Haley Morrison joined Verde Floral Designs in 2020 after relocating to Cape Cod from Westwood. She is a graduate of Bridgewater State University, where she earned a degree in Painting—an artistic foundation that continues to influence her approach to floral design.
Drawn to the interplay of texture, color, and form, Haley approaches each arrangement with a painter’s eye, thoughtfully balancing composition and movement. Her creativity and attention to detail make her an integral part of both studio work and event design.
Outside of the studio, Haley enjoys long walks, time at the beach, painting, and relaxing with her cat, Juno. Her favorite flower is the anthurium, admired for its bold structure and sculptural beauty.
